Biography

Dr. Ryan Eardley is a sports medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Eardley has a special interest in orthobiologics and ultrasound guided procedures for treating tendon and ligament injuries, cartilage damage and arthritis.

Dr. Eardley obtained his Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto and his Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University. He returned to the University of Toronto to complete his residency in Family Medicine where he developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine. He went on to complete a fellowship in Sports and Exercise medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Eardley is always looking for the latest advances in musculoskeletal medicine. He regularly attends conferences around the world to gain and share insight with key leaders in the field regarding novel treatment options. From arthritis to acute muscle injuries, exercise counselling for optimal performance and concussion recovery, Dr. Eardley sees a wide variety of patients. He is passionate about the power of education and provides teaching for both physiatry and family medicine residents from the University of Toronto.

Actively involved in the world of sports, Dr. Eardley is the team physician for the men’s varsity hockey team at the University of Ontario’s Institute of Technology in Oshawa. He acts as a consultant for athletes in the CFL, the National Ballet of Canada and the Toronto Wolfpack Rugby team. He has provided medical coverage for the 2015 Pan Am Games as well as preseason physicals for the Toronto Football Club (TFC), Toronto Argonauts and NHL referees.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Eardley enjoys an active lifestyle with marathon running, hockey and skiing.
