Biography
Elizabeth Talbot is a Registered Dietitian at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Talbot has experience providing individualized nutrition counselling and education across acute care, outpatient clinics, long-term care, community, and academic settings. She supports patients with a wide range of needs including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, gastrointestinal conditions, prenatal nutrition, malnutrition, and complex medical conditions requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition. She has a strong interest in chronic disease management, preventive nutrition, and patient-centered care.
Ms. Talbot obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. She completed her Integrated Dietetic Internship through St. Francis Xavier University, including placements with Nova Scotia Health Authority, Sodexo Canada, the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, and the Antigonish Farmers’ Market. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from Tufts University in Boston. Her graduate training strengthened her expertise in nutrition communication, evidence interpretation, and understanding the broader social and environmental factors that influence health and food access.
Following graduation, Ms. Talbot worked in diverse clinical and public health roles, providing evidence-based nutrition care while building strong rapport with patients and families. She has experience working with individuals with complex and rare conditions and is well known for her creative problem-solving and motivational interviewing approach. Drawing on her background in public health and clinical nutrition, Ms. Talbot focuses on delivering practical, meaningful nutrition interventions that fit each patient’s unique circumstances and support long-term success.
When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Talbot enjoys running, cooking, reading, and trying new restaurants.
