Biography
Kurtis Morrish, MD, is a Sports Medicine Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. He has a strong interest in sports and exercise medicine, pain management, nutrition, and sideline and event coverage.
Dr. Morrish completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkley in California. He continued his post-graduate studies at Tufts University in Boston where he obtained his Master of Public Health and Master of Science (Nutrition). Dr. Morrish received his medical doctorate in Boston in the United States before coming to Canada to complete his Family Medicine Residency and Sports and Exercise Medicine Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Committed to helping patients get back to the activities or sports they love, Dr. Morrish focuses on increasing their quality of life by promoting an active lifestyle and reducing pain. With an interest in pain management with the use of soft tissue injections, he has lectured across Canada on the topic for other family doctors.
Active in the world of sports, Dr. Morrish has covered the varsity hockey and football teams at the University of British Columbia and supported several sporting events including Canada Cup Speed Skating 2024, North America Cup 2024 (Bobsled, Luge, Skeleton), Skate Canada International Final 2023, Victoria Half-Triathlon 2023, Ultimate National Championship 2023, Harry Jerome 2023 (Track & Field), and the Whistler Ski Patrol.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Morrish is a recreational downhill skier, snowboarder, runner, swimmer, cyclist, basketball, and hockey player.
