Biography

Reem Khafagy is a Registered Psychotherapist and member of the Executive Health psychology team at Cleveland Clinic Canada.

Ms. Khafagy has experience in a wide variety of clinical areas, including individual and group therapy from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma-focused lens. Her professional expertise includes being a helpline responder, psychometrist, and psychotherapist in several counselling practices, including her own private practice. She is certified in both Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) with a strong interest in social and personality psychology research.

After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto, Mississauga, Ms. Khafagy obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. Passionate about continuing education, she completed additional training including certification in CBT specifically for depression and anxiety from The Beck Institute, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Embodiment and Regulation Strategies, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training, and SafeTALK for suicide alertness and intervention.

When she's not seeing patients, Ms. Khafagy enjoys reading, crocheting, and exploring the world on her bike.
