Biography

Laura Vermander is a Registered Dietitian at Cleveland Clinic Canada with a passion for preventive health. Ms. Vermander uses an evidence-based approach to counsel patients on their weight management goals and helps them navigate their way to better health and wellness.

Ms. Vermander has more than six years of experience working in the weight management space. Her skills in coaching and behaviour change counselling allow her to work closely with a variety of patients to create personalized plans to support their goals. 

Born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, Ms. Vermander has always had a strong interest in food and nutrition. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology from the University of Western Ontario, Ms. Vermander went on to earn a second Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship in the Clinical Nutrition Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

When she is not seeing patients, Ms. Vermander enjoys spending time with her two young children, family and friends, and being outdoors, whether she’s swimming or skiing.
