Biography
Zubina Mawji is a Primary Care Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Mawji has a particular interest in preventive health, public health and social policy, women's health, and quality improvement strategies for healthcare delivery.
Dr. Mawji obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. A strong interest in health and public policy led her to complete her Masters in public health at the East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Mawji is dedicated to working with her patients to help them solve their health issues and achieve their optimum health and wellness state. She is a strong believer in the importance of patient autonomy in decision-making and views her patients as partners in the healthcare journey.
Actively involved in the research community, Dr. Mawji has received several grants for her work. Her research has been published in numerous medical journals and she has presented her findings at major conferences across North America. She has held several professorships including Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at both the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She also held the role of Assistant Professor of Clinical Health Evaluation Sciences at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Mawji enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also loves travelling and cooking new, exotic dishes from places she has travelled. She speaks English, Spanish, Swahili, and Gujurati.
