Anil Maheshwari

Biography

Dr. Anil Maheshwari, MD Diplomate ABFM is an Executive Health physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. He has over 15 years of experience as a primary care physician in both the US and Canadian healthcare systems and particularly enjoys practicing preventive medicine. He is passionate about counseling his patients on lifestyle changes to prevent chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol as well as heart disease. He is a strong advocate for patient empowerment on various social media platforms.

Dr. Maheshwari was a Henry Rutgers Scholar who graduated from Rutgers University before going on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at New Jersey Medical School. He subsequently completed a three year residency in Family Medicine at Mountainside Hospital. He is an accomplished public speaker who has presented preventative medicine and health topics at various organizations and has been featured as an expert on national and local TV, radio and in newspapers. He has served as a Lead Physician in a multi-disciplinary Family Health Team and is currently the Chief of Family Medicine at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and the Clinical Lead in the Cambridge subLHIN. He is also a Peer Leader for OntarioMD, assisting physicians to optimize their use of electronic medical records.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maheshwari enjoys running and photography.
