Biography

Ira Smith, MD, is a Sports Medicine Physician and the Physician Lead of Sports Health at Cleveland Clinic Canada.

Dr. Smith completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He went on to complete his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine and the American College of Sport Medicine.

Dr. Smith is actively involved in the world of professional sports. He is currently the Team Physician for the Toronto FC. He previously acted as Assistant Team Physician for the Toronto Raptors and has worked with the Canadian Women’s National Basketball team and the Canadian Synchronized Skating team.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family.
