Biography

Gemma Ruth Valle is an Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) at Cleveland Clinic Canada.

Ms. Valle has always been passionate about improving the lives of patients. She turned this interest into a career when she completed the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant Program from Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning in Toronto.  

Ms. Valle has a variety of experiences in outpatient community rehabilitation and in-patient hospital settings. She has spent time exploring many areas of occupational therapy and physiotherapy at locations including St. Michael’s Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She has expertise in mobility, wheelchair and seating equipment, and assisted and adapted devices to improve independence for patients of all ages. Working along with the physiotherapists on the team, Ms. Valle enjoys creating treatment plans that include recreation activities to keep patients active as they age.

When she’s not treating patients, Ms. Valle enjoys playing different types of sports such as flag football, basketball, and snowboarding. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and wants to travel around the world. She finds herself going to numerous car shows and on food adventures. She is also fluent in Ilocano and Tagalog.
