Biography

Ali Henderson is a Registered Social Worker at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Henderson has experience providing mental health support in a wide variety of clinical areas including oncology, pediatrics, internal medicine and disordered eating. She has a strong interest in oncology, palliative care, eating disorders, and grief and loss.

Born with a natural passion to help others, Ms. Henderson was drawn to the field of social work at a young age. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work at Ryerson University in Toronto before going on to complete her Master of Social Work at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has since completed additional certification in palliative and end-of-life care oncology, emotion-focused therapy for eating disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and empathy and compassion focused care.

A natural leader, Ms. Henderson previously held the role of Head Discipline of Social Work at the University Health Network, where she acted as a mentor and role model for 200 social workers, enabling best practice, innovation, education and research. She is dedicated to connecting with patients at all stages of life and feels that being invited into the most intimate and challenging times in people’s lives is a true privilege. 

When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Henderson enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog. She loves to attend live concerts, camp with her husband and friends, hike, and enjoy the great outdoors.
