Biography

Joyce Lai is a Registered Psychotherapist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Lai has a strong interest in human behaviour and is dedicated supporting the success and wellbeing of executives and professionals in their careers, workplaces, personal lives, and social communities. 

Ms. Lai obtained her Bachelor of Science in Science and Psychology from the University of Toronto. She went on to complete a Masters Certificate from the Schulich School of Business at York University, before completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School. She continued her studies in the field with a Doctorate of Industrial Organizational (I/O) Psychology Degree from the Professional School of Psychology.

Ms. Lai is passionate about working with clients who want to make meaningful contributions in their lives, careers, community, or society. With over 20 years of corporate, coaching and clinical experience, she supports her clients in various areas, including performance enhancement, leadership development, confidence building, resilience, stress management, conflict resolution, anxiety and depression. She uses an integrated therapeutic approach, customized using various orientations and modalities, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Adlerian therapy, and hypnotherapy, to address her patients’ unique objectives, needs, and concerns.

When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Lai enjoys practicing transcendental meditation, visiting small towns in Ontario, and spending time with her dog Kismet.
