Biography

Mansour Alvi, MD, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Alvi specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, and is double fellowship trained in both upper and lower extremities trauma and reconstruction. Dr. Alvi has a keen interest in regenerative medicine and is dedicated to providing the latest, most effective non-surgical treatment options for his patients.

Dr. Alvi received his PhD degree in Engineering from the University of Toronto, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University. He completed specialty training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto. He completed his first fellowship in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder trauma and reconstruction at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre (HULC) at the University of Western Ontario. His second fellowship was in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Mount Sinai Hospital at the University of Toronto. He holds courtesy privileges at Scarborough Health Network (SHN).

Dr. Alvi has been nominated for “Best Doctors” in Canada. His peers also selected him as a “Top Doctor” in Post City Magazine. Dr. Alvi has received multiple recognitions and awards, including the Scroll of Appreciation from the Prime Minister of Canada for his PhD research, and the A.W. Harrison Resident Teaching Award from the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto, where he was Chief Resident during his Trauma Rotation at Sunnybrook Hospital.

Dr. Alvi is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), a coroner for the province of Ontario, and a supervisor for graduate students working in orthobiologics, stem cell research, and robotic-assisted surgeries globally. He holds an active practicing license in Canada, Dubai, and the USA.

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Alvi enjoys playing soccer, swimming, biking, and hiking.
