Karen Curry is a Nurse Practitioner at Cleveland Clinic Canada. A registered nurse for over 20 years, she has extensive experience teaching, mentoring, training, and providing primary care.
Ms. Curry obtained her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing at McMaster University-Mohawk College in Hamilton, ON, before completing her Master of Nursing Specialization in Nurse Practitioner at Athabasca University in Alberta. Starting her clinical career at the McMaster Medical Centre, she then continued supporting patients at walk-in clinics, hospitals, and private primary care offices. She later continued her passion for inspiring young nursing students by becoming a nursing instructor at McMaster and is currently an instructor and course lead for the Nurse Practitioner Program at Athabasca University. Ms. Curry has licensure in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and New York state to provide primary care to patients of all ages across Canada.
With experience in both public and private primary and urgent care settings, Ms. Curry has provided exceptional care to her patients. Her interests in chronic disease (including epilepsy and diabetes), pediatrics, and mental health is demonstrated in her care of each patient from a holistic approach. She is a contributor to the Canadian Family Practice Guidelines, a natural team leader, and thrives in collaborative and interdisciplinary environments.
When not treating patients, Ms. Curry enjoys time with family and friends, cooking, painting, and the arts.
