Biography

Mark Leung, MD, is Sports Medicine Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada.  

Dr. Leung obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Western Ontario. He completed both his Residency in Family Medicine as well as an Enhanced Skills Residency in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Leung completed his Diploma in Sports Medicine and went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Family and Community Medicine. 

Dr. Leung is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students in sports and musculoskeletal medicine. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. He has held the position of Program Director for the university’s Sport and Exercise Medicine Enhanced Skills Residency since 2014. He is an active member of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM), including roles with the Program Director's Committee, Team Physician Committee, and Research Committee.  

Passionate about the world of sports and athletics, Dr. Leung has been a Team Physician with Canada Men’s Basketball since 2011. He was also the Lead Physician for Basketball at the Pan AM games in 2015. Previously, Dr. Leung has been a Medical Consultant for the Toronto FC, Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Hockey League Referees Association. 

When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Leung enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee.
