Biography

Andrea Walker is a Nurse Practitioner at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Walker has experience in a wide variety of clinical settings, providing care to patients across the lifespan, including families, seniors, and individuals with complex medical needs. She treats acute and chronic conditions and has a particular interest in primary care, prenatal and perinatal health, and the care of older adults. She is skilled in comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic management, with a strong focus on delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care.

Ms. Walker obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta before completing her Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at Athabasca University. She has also completed advanced studies in critical care nursing and additional training in adult education. Ms. Walker has extensive clinical experience in primary care, surgical services, and community-based care, including roles with Fraser Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Saskatchewan Health Authority. Her background also includes many years of experience as a Registered Nurse in intensive care and emergency settings, as well as faculty roles in nursing education programs.

Committed to health promotion and illness prevention, Ms. Walker is dedicated to providing thorough, patient-centered care. She is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting patients and their families through all stages of care. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to her community through mentorship, teaching, and volunteer involvement in health and youth programs.

When she is not treating patients, Ms. Walker enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She has three teenage boys, and together they enjoy hiking, dirt biking, fishing, and camping. She can often be found cycling or running along the scenic trails of North Vancouver with her German shorthaired pointer.
