Biography
Daniel Agbuis is a Nurse Practitioner at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Mr. Agbuis has extensive experience providing comprehensive primary and urgent care across a variety of healthcare settings, including community health and long-term care centres and hospitals . He treats acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan, with interests in chronic disease management, preventive care, seniors' health, and improving access to care for underserved populations. Mr. Agbuis is experienced in conducting comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions, and delivering patient-centred care through in-person, home-based, and virtual settings.
Mr. Agbuis obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Toronto Metropolitan University before completing his Master of Nursing and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification at Athabasca University. He also holds certifications in Coronary Care Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, and has completed additional training in palliative care.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Agbuis gained extensive critical care nursing experience at Humber River Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, St. Michael's Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital. Most recently, he practiced in community-based primary and long-term care, serving as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Lead for a chronic disease management clinic, where he helped develop innovative programs to support patients living with chronic conditions.
Mr. Agbuis is committed to delivering evidence-based, equitable, and compassionate care. He is passionate about chronic disease prevention and management, health promotion, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. In addition to his clinical practice, he has served as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students and has contributed to quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and program development to enhance access to patient-centred care.
When he is not treating patients, Daniel enjoys playing basketball, traveling the world, and spending time with his family.
