
Biography
Michael Torigian, MD, is an Executive Health Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Torigian is passionate about lifestyle medicine and is dedicated to motivating and inspiring his patients to incorporate lifestyle changes to positively affect their overall health, energy, athletic goals and well-being.
Dr. Torigian first obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Health Sciences Antigua, and completed his Residency in Family Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON. He currently holds the role of Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Torigian has a strong interest in sports medicine and has been involved with numerous professional sports teams, including his most recent role as the Chief Medical Officer for the Canadian Elite Basketball League. He also holds the position as Team Physician for Niagara River Lions professional basketball team and the Team Physician for the Niagara Girls Basketball Academy. Previously, he provided sports medicine support for Jr. B Hockey, Jr. A Lacrosse, IIHF World’s Hockey Championships, the National Lacrosse League and the Buffalo Sabres Alumni.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Torigian enjoys playing and watching sports, particularly hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. He also loves spending time with his wife and three daughters, hiking, cooking, cottaging and touring the many wineries of Niagara region.
