Biography

Dr. Shruti Tandon is a cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Tandon focuses on primary prevention and commonly assesses and treats conditions such as valvular heart disease and heart failure. Her areas of research include quality improvement in echocardiography as well as novel techniques using cardiac MRI.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dr. Tandon obtained her Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. She then relocated to London, Ontario to complete both her Internal Medicine residency and her Cardiology subspecialty at Western University before moving to Toronto for her echocardiography fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Since graduation, Dr. Tandon has published in several medical journals including the European Heart Journal and the European Journal of Radiology. She has also presented her research findings at conferences throughout Canada, including the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress.

Dr. Tandon is passionate about helping her patients achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. She believes that the key to optimal mental and physical health is to find a balance among the different aspects of life.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Tandon enjoys travelling, personal fitness, baking and spending time with family.
