Barbara Paraskevakos, PTA, BA

Biography

Barbara Paraskevakos is a Physiotherapy Assistant at Cleveland Clinic Canada.

Ms. Paraskevakos completed both her certificate in athletic therapy and her Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology and health science at York University. She has experience providing care for various teams at educational institutions and private sport clubs. Her focus has typically been on soccer, but she has also worked in the fields of ballet, rugby, volleyball, basketball and baseball.

Ms. Paraskevakos currently acts as a Student Therapist/First Responder for the Mississauga Blues Rugby Club as well as the Woodbridge Strikers Soccer Club. In these roles, she is responsible for providing on-field care for injuries as well as pre and post-game treatments for athletes. She has previously volunteered her time for the Oceanman Open Water Swimming competition in Greece as well as the medical tent at the Scotiabank Marathon.

When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Paraskevakos enjoys playing soccer and spending time outdoors.
