Biography
Dr. Ilana Ferreira is a Registered Kinesiologist supporting as a Research & Academic Associate at Cleveland Clinic Canada.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, Dr. Ferreira completed her Master of Kinesiology and Recreation Management at the University of Manitoba where she supported several research projects and held teaching roles within her faculty. To further her knowledge, she moved to Toronto to successfully defend her doctoral thesis in Medical Rehabilitation.
Dr. Ferreira is passionate about research as a vital component in her clinical role with patients.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Ferreira participated in several large research studies, supervised both physiotherapy and occupational therapy students, and led award-winning presentations at conferences worldwide. She has expertise in outcome development and rehabilitation adherence
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Ferreira loves to stay active and engage in regular endurance and strength training.
