Dr. Naten (“Nathan”) Thakur, MD, CCFP, in an Executive Health physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Thakur comes to us from Alberta Health Services where he provided care for a large family practice in Calgary and emergency room coverage to surrounding communities. Dr. Thakur strongly believes in health maintenance and primary prevention for disease and applies this philosophy to all of his patients. In addition to providing comprehensive medical assessments, Dr. Thakur brings advanced procedural training in therapies for arthritis and chronic migraine headaches. He also has a particular interest in musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Thakur is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Thakur completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his post-graduate family medicine training at McGill University with a focus in emergency medicine and Humanitarian Medical Studies, a joint McGill and Harvard University initiative. Dr. Thakur has previously worked at the Canadian Medical Association and has been active in physician leadership and innovation initiatives.
When Dr. Thakur is not seeing patients, he enjoys playing all sports, particularly soccer, travelling and reading to relax.
