Laura Vermander

Biography

Laura Vermander is a registered dietitian at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Vermander uses an evidence-based approach to counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices and helps them navigate their way to health and wellness.

Born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, Ms. Vermander has always had a strong interest in food and nutrition. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology from the University of Western Ontario, Ms. Vermander went on to earn a second Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship in the Clinical Nutrition Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Ms. Vermander regularly attends conferences and seminars to stay abreast of the most recent findings in her field. She has a special interest in weight management, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), allergies and women's health and is involved in events and fundraising for the Canadian Women's Foundation.

When she is not seeing patients, Ms. Vermander enjoys biking, swimming, snowboarding, spending time with friends and family, and of course, baking.
