Vanessa Zoras is a registered dietitian with Cleveland Clinic Canada’s Executive Health program. Ms. Zoras is passionate about improving the health and well-being of her patients through simple and sustainable changes in lifestyle and habits and has a particular interest in sports nutrition, digestive health and preventive health.
Ms. Zoras studied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph before going on to complete her dietetic internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She received a Culinary Arts certificate from George Brown College and is currently completing her diploma in sport nutrition through the International Olympic Committee.
Always interested in learning the latest in her field, Ms. Zoras regularly attends conferences across Canada, including the Dietitians of Canada National Conference, the Food Institute Gut Health Conference and the Canadian Nutrition Society Conference. She has provided educational sessions and food demonstrations for various sports teams, coaches and parents of athletes through the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario and has also co-taught with the creators of the Demos for Dietitians workshop.
Ms. Zoras believes that the key to a balanced lifestyle is to simplify, be consistent, enjoy what you do, and take setbacks in stride – resilience is crucial. She truly enjoys educating her patients on how to prepare balanced meals and snacks and to make healthy food prep less daunting for people of all ages.
When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Zoras likes to cook and explore Toronto’s food scene. On weekends you can find her hiking, camping, canoeing and doing anything outdoors. She is also a recreational triathlete and has completed two sprint-distance triathlons.
