Leslie Jurecko is Cleveland Clinic’s Chief Safety, Quality and Experience Officer. In this role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of Cleveland Clinic’s Enterprise Quality, Safety and Experience strategy. Dr. Jurecko is also a pediatric hospitalist with Cleveland Clinic Children’s.

Previously, Dr. Jurecko served as Senior Vice President for Quality, Safety and Experience for Spectrum Health, a non-profit integrated health system with 15 hospitals.

Dr. Jurecko graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University’s Seidman College of Business. Dr. Jurecko also completed the Patient Safety Executive Development Program and the Chief Quality Officer Program at The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and serves as core faculty for IHI.

In 2020, Becker’s Hospital Review named Dr. Jurecko one of the top 50 patient safety experts to know. She was also listed as an honoree for Crain’s Detroit Business 2020 Notable Women in Healthcare and was named an “Up and Comer” by Modern Healthcare. Dr. Jurecko is frequently invited to speak at national conferences on reducing preventable patient suffering.
