Chirag Choudhary is the vice president and chief medical officer at Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital as well as interim vice president and chief medical officer of Martin North and Martin South Hospitals. Dr. Choudhary has dedicated more than 15 years to advancing patient care and healthcare management within the Cleveland Clinic system. He earned his medical degree from JSS Medical College in Mysore, Karnataka, India, in 2002. Dr. Choudhary completed an Internal Medicine residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn in 2006, followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in 2009. He later pursued business training, completing graduate studies at Case Western Reserve University in 2016 and an MBA in 2017.

Dr. Choudhary’s journey took a pivotal turn in medical school when his mother’s cancer required advanced care unavailable in India. This experience inspired him to seek further training in the U.S. to better manage complex medical challenges.

Since joining Cleveland Clinic in 2006, Dr. Choudhary has held leadership roles focused on patient safety, quality of care and operational efficiency. He spearheaded systemwide efforts to standardize critical care and coordinate sepsis treatment, improving results across multiple locations.

At Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, Dr. Choudhary brings deep clinical and leadership experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional care. He looks forward to building on his predecessors’ work and collaborating with the hospital’s talented team to enhance healthcare services in Martin and St. Lucie counties.
