Description
Objectives
- To familiarize students with the necessary knowledge to assess patients with gastrointestinal disorders in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Description
- The GI elective will include observation of endoscopic cases, seeing and reviewing inpatient consults with the GI attending, discussing & reviewing cases in a way to help educate a diagnostic approach to GI problems as well as forming treatment plans, reviewing specific GI topics that may or may not apply to the specific patients the student may see to enrich the GI education experience.
