Description
Objectives
- To provide medical students with necessary exposure to assess and care for the adult cardiac patient.
Description
- The student will participate in daily teaching rounds with the attending and house staff team.
- The student will be exposed to the diagnostic procedures and therapeutic intervention necessary in the care of the adult cardiac patient.
- The student will work up at least three patients per week.
- The student will attend daily EKG teaching sessions to gain proficiency in electrocardiographic diagnosis.
- The student will work with the attending physician in an outpatient practice. The student will attend daily noon didactic lectures, with work rounds taking place in the afternoon.
