Surgery: Breast Oncology

Objective:
Medical students will participate in the care of patients with benign and malignant breast disease in our Breast Health Center. Student will participate in office and operative cases.  

Description:
Exposure to breast surgery on benign and malignant disease. Exposure to Oncoplastic techniques, including nipple sparing mastectomy tissue rearrangement procedures. Breast imaging and breast image guided biopsy lectures. Textbook review, Journal Club, breast clinical Conference (done quarterly). Attend weekly multidisciplinary tumor board.
