Part of the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute, the Center for Pediatric Urology provides comprehensive care for routine and complex kidney, bladder and genitourinary issues in neonates, children, adolescents and into adulthood.
Our specialists are familiar with advanced treatments for pediatric urological conditions and have assisted in the development of many of them. Today’s advanced imaging technologies allow many urologic conditions to be detected before a child is born. When genitourinary issues are diagnosed prenatally, our multidisciplinary team works together to provide parents with a detailed therapeutic plan. When appropriate, they will recommend medical or surgical intervention for acquired and congenital problems. To minimize trauma and recovery time, the surgeons use minimally invasive techniques, such as laparoscopic or robotic surgery, whenever possible. Our program also provides transitional care from pediatric to adulthood for patients with congenital anomalies in the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute’s Department of Genitourinary Reconstruction.
In our state of the art urodynamics laboratory, we provide for the complete evaluation and analysis of urological conditions. Our specialists continue to refine modern technologies and techniques while at the same time conducting research to create even more effective therapies.

Glickman Urologic Pediatric Incontinence Clinic
Urinary problems are common in children of various ages. Our Pediatric Incontinence clinic cares for children up to the age of 18 and was designed to provide resources and a personalized treatment plan for each child. Our pediatric specialists provide care for incontinence, urinary tract infections, urgency, frequency, bedwetting, biofeedback, dysuria (painful or difficult urination) and constipation.
After your initial visit and evaluation with one of our providers, schedule any follow-up visits via Express Care Online. This convenience online service can help you save valuable time by letting you visit your provider through your mobile device or computer. Pediatric Spina Bifida Clinic
At the pediatric spina bifida (also known as myelomeninocele) clinic, we work with pediatric specialists to preserve the child’s kidney and bladder function. We monitor the child’s kidneys and bladder through imaging studies including kidney ultrasounds, voiding cystourethrogram and urodynamics. Sometimes early intervention, such as catheterization, are key to maintaining kidney and bladder function.
