Overview
Flavorful, nutritious food is a cornerstone of good health. We keep this in mind as we prepare and offer a variety of fresh daily features and a daily inpatient room service menu.
Your provider may also prescribe a special diet as part of your care plan. This diet order helps us manage the amount and types of food and drink you can have during your hospital stay.

Patient Meal Ordering App
Cleveland Clinic gives patients the power to order their meals at the push of a button through our Patient meal ordering app.
Patients or family members can now conveniently place meal orders. The CBORD Patient App is available at our Ohio and Florida hospitals and can be used on any mobile device, tablet or computer.

Types of Diet Orders
During your hospital stay, you may be prescribed one of the following types of diet orders.
- Regular Diet: Has no therapeutic restrictions per meal order and includes a variety of healthy, nutritious options. You may be restricted on how much or how often you can place a meal order.
- Therapeutic Diet: Includes healthy, nutritious options that will limit what and how much you can eat, how often you can eat, and possibly the texture of your food. These diets support healing and recovery.
- NPO Diet: Also known as a "Nothing by Mouth" Diet, restricts all eating and drinking before and after certain procedures and/or tests, and is for your safety.
Please keep in mind that all patients will have a diet order and it may change during your stay.
Patient App
Do I have to order via the patient app?
No. You can place your order by phone. (See your menu for your site’s phone number.) Or visit patient.cbord.com using your device.
How do I create an account?
- Click on Create an Account.
- Select the appropriate user box, and check the box if you are age 13 or older.
- Enter your unique facility ID (see below).
- Enter your MRN and date of birth or scan your wristband.
- Enter your email to create an account or select skip in the upper right corner.
- Select the day and meal you’d like to order for. Add your selections to your order and submit.
What is my Facility ID?
Facility ID refers to the hospital where you are staying.
- If you are in Avon, Akron, Hillcrest, South Pointe, Mentor, Euclid, Union, Medina, Marymount, Fairview or Lutheran Hospitals, your facility ID is ccreg.
- If you are in Main Campus, your facility ID is ccmain.
- If you are in Weston Hospital, your facility ID is ccwes.
- If you are in Martin North, Martin South, Martin Tradition or Indian River Hospitals, your facility ID is ccfl.
Please note: Facility IDs are case sensitive.
What is my MRN?
This is your medical record number found on your wristband:
- If you are in Avon, Akron, Hillcrest, South Pointe, Mentor, Euclid, Union, Medina, Marymount, Fairview, or Lutheran Hospitals, enter the number starting with "E".
- For Indian River patients, enter the MRN number + "IR" at the end (e.g. 123456IR).
- For all other hospitals, enter the MRN number as shown (e.g. 123456).
How do I reset my password?
In the patient app: Under the password field, click the blue "forgot password" hyperlink; then enter your email and submit. You will receive an email with instructions on resetting your password.
Using the web version: Go to patient.cbord.com/login; click "forgot password" and enter your username or email address. You will receive an email message with instructions on how to reset your password.
What if I’m on a special diet?
The patient app has built-in tracking that will only allow you to order within your diet restrictions. When you are ordered a special diet, you will see the corresponding nutrients tracked in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Red means you’ve exceeded the recommended amount, while green indicates you’re within the guidelines. You must be in the green to place an order within the app.
