Overview

Overview

The Department is offering a one-year PGY6 clinical radiation oncology fellowship program to graduating residents interested in advanced clinical training. Applicants from the United States are expected to be board-eligible in radiation oncology at the time they begin the program. Canadian graduates are expected to have passed their qualifying exams from the Royal College. Other international medical graduates must be certified by the ECFMG as meeting the training standards. Submit applications for following year from June-October the previous year.

One PGY6 Fellowship position is available each year, beginning on July 1 at the start of the academic year. The fellowship is individualized to the interests and backgrounds of the candidates selected. General radiation oncology, as well as sub-site/specialty, fellowships are available. Particular areas of clinical strength within the department include CNS, GU and Thoracic services.

Fellows are expected to have a research orientation for their year which typically involves clinical research under the direction of a mentor. They will be encouraged to present at national meetings. Interested candidates are asked to contact the Program coordinator with a letter of interest and their CV.
