LifeStyles members have the option of swimming at our Bath location, which offers a six-lane lap pool, as well as our Green and Stow locations, which offer the same, plus a family pool. Our six-lane lap pool is heated and available during all hours of operation.

Warm Water Exercise

A low-intensity workout in the warm water physical therapy pool, emphasizing strength and joint range-of-motion exercises. This class can benefit individuals with special considerations, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, total joint replacement, chronic lower back pain and/or fibromyalgia.

Adult Lap/Exercise/Recreation Swim (L/E/R)

Within each lane, adults may swim continuously in a workout setting, exercise or relax and play. Accommodations will be made for all levels of swimmers, including non-swimmers who prefer to exercise in shallow water or by holding on to the pool side. This is the best time to take advantage of unscheduled pool time.

Monday - Friday: 5:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Warm Water Therapy Pool Hours

LifeStyles members and families may use the warm water pool for exercise and general use on a limited basis. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is either the parent or the member responsible for a dependent when in LifeStyles. Currently, there is no lifeguard on duty.

Monday -Thursday: 5:30 - 7 a.m. and 7:30 - 10 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 - 7 a.m. and 5:30 - 10 p.m.
(Reserved for Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy from 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)

Sunday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Pool and Exercise Schedules

For adult lap swim and family open swim. Most facilities offer fitness classes including Aqua Zumba, Aqua Lite, Boot Camp and Shallow Strength.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are held throughout the year. Registration begins two weeks prior to the beginning of each session. Swim lessons include Red Cross parent/child classes, Red Cross levels I–VI, and adult beginner and intermediate classes. Learn stroke development, basic water safety and helping in an emergency. Learn-to-Swim classes are available for ages six months and older. Private lessons are available at all locations.

Basic Class Descriptions for Swim Lessons

Price of class is based on length of class time. Please let your instructor know if you plan to miss a lesson. There are no class make-ups.

  • Parent and Child Aquatics: For children 6 months-4 years. A responsible adult must accompany child in the water. General water safety tips for parents and water adjustment for children. 6 months - 4 years.
  • Preschool Levels: For children 4 and 5 years old who are ready to be without parents. General Youth Level 1 and Youth Level 2 skills are presented, with individual abilities considered.
  • Youth Level 1: Water Adjustment for children 6 years and up (without parents). Enter and exit in shallow end, move comfortably through water, submerge face (3 seconds), and float with support on front and back.
  • Youth Level 2: Independent float on front and back, open eyes under water and retrieve objects, rhythmic breathing or bobbing, kick on front and back, roll from back to front/front to back, front and back crawl arm action, combined stroke front and back. 6 years and up
  • Youth Level 3: The objective is continued improvement on the front crawl and elementary backstroke and to learn the butterfly kick, scissor kick, & breaststroke kick. Rotary breathing and survival floats are also included in this level.
  • Youth Level 4: The objective is for students to improve the front crawl and to learn the back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly.
  • Youth Level 5 & 6: The objective is to continually build upon and refine all strokes, especially the front and back crawl for better endurance and stroke mechanics, as well as improvement on the elementary backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke. Sidestroke and turns are introduced.
  • SEALS: For youth 6 years old & up (and have graduated from Youth Level 4) who are interested in developing their competitive swimming skills. Swimmers will learn drills to improve technique, increase speed and endurance. Emphasis will be placed on stroke refinement, starts, turns, warm-up, supplemental exercises, and FUN! (A minimum of Youth Level 5 is required for all participants)

Lifeguard Certification and Recertification

American Red Cross certification and recertification offerings, which includes Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Open to age 15+ with strong swim skills.

High School Swim Team Practice and Meets

LifeStyles is proud to be the home pool for their local high swim teams. Practices run Monday through Friday from November to February. For your convenience, these dates, times and swim meet schedules will be posted in the pool area and at the front desk (and at the top of this page).

Cancellations Policy

  • Cancellations 3 or more days before class will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellations 1-2 days prior to the first class will be given a full refund, less a $10 administration fee.
  • Cancellation the day of or after will NOT be refunded.
  • Any class cancelled by the Aquatics Department will be refunded in full. Contact the Aquatics Department for cancellations.
