Cleveland Clinic’s Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence received a $1 million gift from Samuel and Maria Miller, in recognition of the many exceptional nurses at Cleveland Clinic.
The gift formally establishes the Sam and Maria Miller Nursing Excellence Awards indefinitely, allowing Cleveland Clinic to celebrate world-class nursing care across the health system by honoring and recognizing approximately 95 nurses annually.

Cleveland Clinic is seeking to hire approximately 600 registered nurses at a career fair March 28-30 at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence organized the event, Nursing Now at Cleveland Clinic, to bring new nursing caregivers to Cleveland Clinic, filling vacant positions and proactively preparing for the changing landscape of the healthcare industry.

The Cleveland Clinic Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence has received the 2011 Nurses Choice Award in the Media category from the Ohio Nurses Foundation Board of Trustees. The award recognizes “The Legacy Continues with You,” an orientation video that explores the rich heritage of Cleveland Clinic nursing and the ways in which nurses impact patients’ lives. It features Zielony Nursing Institute leaders who describe the fulfillment they’ve experienced as nurses, as well as the opportunities new nurses have to create their own memorable and satisfying career.
