For Outpatients with Neurological Disorders
The Euclid Hospital Outpatient Neuro Half-Day Program is a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to help patients with neurological disorders. The goal is for patients to achieve their highest level of function for an enhanced quality of life. Participants in the program meet half days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A treatment program is established for each patient utilizing individual and group therapy. Services provided include Physical, Occupational, Speech, Recreation and Music Therapy, and Nursing Services. Based on need, sessions may include:
- Self-care skills (dressing, grooming, memory)
- Life skills (safety techniques, home management, community resources)
- Driving assessment and training
- Memory and problem-solving techniques
- Swallowing evaluation and techniques
- Patient/Family education and counseling
- Recommendations/Referrals for psychology services
Admission Requirements
A physician prescription is required. Patients must have a primary care physician. Patients must be medically stable, have reasonable expectation for further improvement, and require a minimum of two therapy disciplines (i.e. Occupation, Physical or Speech Therapy)
