The total intraoperative complication rate was 1%, consisting mostly of cases of hyphema, and one case each of conjunctival buttonhole and iris trauma.

Postoperative Complications (N = 1001)

The total postoperative complication rate was 4.1%, which included additional surgery (2.3%), hypotony (IOP < 5 mm Hg) (0.5%), hyphema (0.4%), aqueous misdirection (0.3%), bleb leak (0.2%), wound revision (0.2%), exposed tube (0.1%), and suprachoroidal hemorrhage (0.1%).
