Other = Superior oblique palsy (3), thyroid eye disease (2), Duane syndrome (2), dissociated vertical deviation (1), and inferior oblique overaction (1).

Adult Strabismus Outcomes (N = 99ᵃ)

ᵃOne patient was lost to follow-up.

Good outcome is defined as: 1. ocular alignment within 10 prism D of orthotropia if no diplopia at start; 2. diplopia disappeared; 3. anomalous head position resolved; 4. patient and doctor totally satisfied with the outcome.

Improved outcome is defined as: 1. ocular alignment within 15 prism D of orthotropia for horizontal strabismus; 2. diplopia intermittent; 3. anomalous head position improved; 4. patient and doctor somewhat satisfied with the outcome.

Not as Expected is defined as: 1. over- or under-corrected by >15 prism D for horizontal strabismus; 2. diplopia persists; 3. anomalous head position unchanged; 4. patient and doctor dissatisfied with the outcome.

There were 2 cases of scleral perforations and 1 case of conjunctival inclusion cyst in this cohort of 100 patients.
