These tests may be measured any time of the day without fasting.
Hemoglobin
Normal range:
- Male: 13.5 - 17.5 g/dL
- Female: 12.0 - 16.0 g/Dl
Hematocrit
Percent of total blood volume that is made up of red cells.
Normal range:
- Male: 40 - 55%
- Female: 36 - 48%
Platelet count
Normal range adult: 150,000 - 400,000/mL
White blood cell (WBC) count
Normal range adult: 5,000-10,000
