Penile Prosthesis Implantation

The Center for Men’s Health, along with the Center for Genitourinary Reconstruction, perform a high volume of penile prosthesis implantation (PPI) procedures.

The volume of first time PPI procedures has doubled over the last 5 years, with only a slight increase in the number of revisions. This suggests that institutional efforts to spread awareness and education on this highly effective ED treatment have been successful, and that more men are seeking this out as a definitive treatment. The data also suggest that despite a growing number of cases, implants rarely require revision.
