While you’d like to eat healthier, it can be overwhelming and time-consuming to think about your meals, especially if you’re stressed at work or busy raising a family. Or maybe you’re looking for insight into how to age healthfully, are interested in sports nutrition or want to know how to maintain a weight that’s healthy for you.

If you’re ready to change your eating behaviors, or if a medical condition like celiac disease or diabetes is making healthy eating a challenge, it may be time to talk with Cleveland Clinic’s nutrition care team. We can help you reach your health and wellness goals.

You may also want to see a member of our nutrition care team if you:

What to expect at your first visit

Making the decision to focus on your nutrition is a great step forward. During your first visit, you’ll meet with a registered dietitian who’ll go over your medical history and ask about your nutrition concerns and wellness goals.

During your visit, your nutrition care team will also ask about the foods you eat and any supplements you’re taking. Then, they’ll craft a personalized plan based on your lifestyle and any symptoms you have to help you achieve your goals.

Your individualized plan may include meal ideas. And we may ask you keep a food log and track food triggers and symptoms.

In addition to our one-on-one appointments, we also offer:

  • Shared nutrition appointments (SNAs). A registered dietitian will lead this appointment where you’ll learn about good nutrition. You’ll be joined by others who have the same medical condition or wellness goals as you.
  • Shared medical appointments (SMAs). A physician and registered dietitian will lead this appointment. You’ll meet in a group setting with other people who want more information on nutrition and how to create healthy eating plans and make lifestyle changes.

Locations

Our healthcare providers see patients at convenient locations throughout Northeast Ohio and Florida.
