Executive Health
Life gets busy. Work is demanding. Family time comes first. And sometimes, you just need uninterrupted time to relax and recharge. So, instead of being a priority, keeping tabs on your health takes a backseat — especially when you have multiple healthcare providers to see, a bunch of tests to schedule or specialists to consult with.
Now, imagine, getting all those appointments and tests done in one day. Just one. With an expert team of providers focused entirely on you. It’s possible with Cleveland Clinic’s Executive Health Program. This streamlined preventive medicine and wellness program includes a thorough physical exam that takes your specific health needs into account. It provides all the tests you need to make sure you stay in tip-top shape. The Executive Health Program is convenient, coordinated and comprehensive. And it’s an option at Cleveland Clinic.

When you come to Cleveland Clinic for an executive health appointment, you’ll have an extensive physical exam and baseline testing. You’ll also meet with experts in nutrition, exercise physiology and, if needed, stress management. If you’ve scheduled women’s or premier executive health exams, you may also have other tests and meet with other providers.
Sharing your story
We want to understand your health journey — and your wellness goals. That’s why your provider will ask questions about your medical history, any medications you take, what you eat and drink, your exercise habits and your overall lifestyle. The more you feel comfortable sharing, the more we can tailor a healthcare plan to match your needs and goals.
Physical exam and testing
Every executive health appointment includes a thorough physical exam, nutrition consultation, exercise counseling, review of vaccinations (shots), and may include vision and hearing. If needed, you may also talk with a life coach about ways to feel more fulfilled, manage stress and find a better work-life balance.
Tests and screenings are also an important part of your day with us. Depending on your age and specific needs, your executive health provider may recommend a custom combination of tests. They may include:
- A variety of blood tests, including urinalysis.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG).
- Cardiac stress test.
- Calcium-score screening heart scan.
- Spirometry.
- Chest X-ray.
- Vascular screening tests.
- Bone density test.
If you have time for an extended stay, you may want further health support beyond a standard executive exam. This could include genetic testing and counseling, more detailed cardiac tests, dermatology and ophthalmology screenings. Your care team can help arrange any or all of these tests for you.
Women’s executive health exam
If you’re a person assigned female at birth (AFAB), your executive health appointment may also include:
- Mammogram.
- Pelvic exam.
- Pap smear.
- Menopause symptoms counseling and management.
Premier executive health exam
If you’d like a more intensive evaluation, our premier executive health exam is an option. Since this is even more comprehensive, you’ll usually spend two or three days with us. Your experience starts with a personal call from your executive health physician. You’ll go over your family medical history, sex assigned at birth and age. Then you’ll talk with them about your needs and health goals.
Based on this conversation, your lead provider will arrange for you to meet a personalized team of providers, including medical specialists, life coaches, dietitians, exercise physiologists and more.
You may also choose to pursue even more in-depth screening tests and appointments — all focused on you and your health goals. This may include additional scans like a total body MRI or total body CT scan, plus:
No matter what level of executive health you choose, one thing is certain: You’ll leave with an individualized roadmap toward better health and wellness. We want you to feel confident about your health today. And know what steps to take to stay healthy and well in the future.
