Emergency icon Important Updates
Your eyes work hard to help you see the world.

That’s why it’s important to take care of them. Routine eye exams aren’t only for people who wear glasses or contacts. Just like your annual wellness checkup, you should get your eyes checked out each year or two. This lets us catch small issues before they become a major problem.

At Cleveland Clinic, our ophthalmologists have the highest training available. We provide exams, vision correction and disease diagnosis and treatment. We’re here to help you keep seeing clearly for years to come with our comprehensive ophthalmology (eye) care services.

Comprehensive Ophthalmology Diagnosis at Cleveland Clinic

You should get a regular eye exam once every year or two. If you have a problem with your eyes or notice a vision change between routine exams, don’t wait. We’re here to help between those visits.

When you come to see us, you’ll get our full attention during your appointment. We’ll listen to any concerns you have and examine your eyes. During your eye exam, we’ll check your vision, eye pressure and the area around your eyes. And we’ll screen for eye diseases and other problems.

Afterwards, we’ll talk with you about what we saw. We’ll work with you to craft the right treatment plan if you have any eye problems. If needed, we might also refer you to another specialist. Our team includes experts in corneal and external disease, neuro-ophthalmology and pediatric ophthalmology.

Locations

Our healthcare providers see patients at convenient locations throughout Northeast Ohio.

Comprehensive Ophthalmology Treatment at Cleveland Clinic

At Cleveland Clinic, you’ll get your exams or treatments in innovative facilities equipped with the latest technology. We designed our offices with your comfort in mind. And our compassionate providers put you at ease — whether you’re coming to see us for a yearly exam or eye surgery.

Vision correction

We improve your sight by making sure you have the right prescription for your vision problems if you wear glasses or contact lenses. We even offer frames at our on-site retail shop. We’re here to help you choose the perfect pair of glasses or sunglasses.

If you’re tired of wearing glasses or contacts, you might want to think about laser vision corrective surgery. During your visit, we can talk about whether this permanent vision correction procedure is a good option for you.

Eye disease treatment and prevention

Some eye diseases, like glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration, can cause blindness. But we can slow down their progress with the right treatment. Our experienced providers can diagnose eye diseases and start your treatment quickly. This can include medication, eye drops, laser treatments or surgery.

Low vision care

Having low vision means glasses, contacts or surgery can’t correct your vision. If that’s the case, we can fit you with tools that can help you continue reading, watching TV and enjoying life.

Taking the Next Step

Sight is precious. And it helps you take in all the world has to offer. If something doesn’t seem right, or if you want to make sure your eyes are doing great, we’re here to help. At Cleveland Clinic, you can trust our expert providers to give you (and your eyes) the excellent care you need. From routine exams to treatments for serious eye problems, we’re here to help you keep seeing clearly.
