As part of the Palliative and Supportive Care Program, Cleveland Clinic’s Psycho-Oncology Program is here to care for your emotional and mental well-being throughout your cancer journey.

Our team of compassionate, specially trained psychiatrists and psychologists will work with you using talk therapy, medications or a combination of both. We focus on helping you manage the emotional challenges that can come with a cancer diagnosis — helping you cope, feel heard and maintain your quality of life. These issues can include:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Fear of cancer coming back or progressing
  • Anger or irritability
  • Sleep problems
  • Cognitive changes
  • Mental health side effects of cancer and/or cancer treatment
  • Sexual health changes
  • Family coping
  • Grief and end-of-life issues
  • Preexisting mental health issues impacting your cancer journey

It’s natural to experience changes in mood, emotions or behavior after a cancer diagnosis. Your oncology team can help connect you with the right support. Reach out to request a referral.
