Total Joint Replacement Concierge Clinic
You’ve scheduled your hip or knee replacement. So, what’s next?
We can answer that and more during our half-day Joint Replacement Concierge Clinic. We offer this informative program at multiple Northeast Ohio locations. And we recommend you consider scheduling a session a few weeks before surgery.
What To expect during a Total Joint Replacement Concierge Clinic
Our team designed this clinic to help you understand what to expect before, during and after your joint replacement surgery. We’ll walk you through each step and answer any questions. And while you’re here, you’ll also take care of any required pre-surgery appointments.
Total joint replacement education
During this session, our team will share what to expect from your joint replacement. They’ll cover:
- Preparing for surgery.
- Understanding your planned hospital stay.
- Moving forward with post-op rehabilitation.
You’ll receive personalized attention and answers to your questions. We’re here to help you feel more at ease about having surgery.
Pre-anesthesia consultation
While you’re here, we’ll walk you through all pre-anesthesia requirements. This will help us decide if you need more tests before your joint replacement. To do this, our team will:
- Review your medical and surgical history.
- Ask you how anesthesia has affected you in the past
- Go over previous results from tests like blood work and electrocardiograms (EKG).
- Do any needed blood tests or imaging, like a CT scan or X-ray.
Consultations with other healthcare providers
If needed, you may also meet with other providers in specialties like cardiology and pain management.
We’ll also connect you with one of our social workers. They’ll work with you to build a recovery plan for after you leave the hospital. And if you have concerns about anything that lies ahead, they can help with finding solutions, too.
