Conference Objectives

After completing this educational activity, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Recognize and differentiate among pharmacological options for treating depression and anxiety, including safe application of combination therapies and cross-tapering strategies.
  • Incorporate the short-term use of PRN medications when initiating SSRIs/SNRIs for anxiety management.
  • Identify appropriate referral criteria and processes for accessing Psychiatry and Psychology resources within Cleveland Clinic system.
  • Discuss the pathophysiology of asthma and align treatment interventions with therapeutic goals to improve patient outcomes.
  • Review the mechanism of action of diuretics and explore the clinical use of different diuretic classes in various care settings.
  • Examine current guidelines and pharmacologic treatments related to the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis.
