Scott Steele: Butts N’ Guts, a Cleveland Clinic podcast exploring your digestive and surgical health from end to end.
Welcome to Butts N’ Guts. I'm Scott Steele the Chairman of Colorectal Surgery here at Cleveland Clinic, and a part of the Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute here in Cleveland.
There's a wide variety of diseases that can affect the human body, and here at Butts N’ Guts we're going to explore many of them. In addition to the GI tract, we're going to talk about all sorts of diseases to include breast, sarcoma, pancreas, gallbladder, liver and even hernia, from end to end.
This podcast is for everyone, but especially for the patient. Our goal is to look at diseases that encompass the entire surgical part as a part of this Digestive Disease & Surgery Institute, and to learn more about the disease processes themselves.
The podcast will involve interviews with experts here in Cleveland, as well as across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise. It will involve patient interviews, and we're going to discuss many of the newest techniques.
We'll even review some of the hot topics that you may hear about or read about in the news. Our goal is to bring you the latest information needed so that you can have the best digestive and surgical health possible.
We want you to understand the role of both medicine and surgery in the care and prevention of disease, and ultimately for the cure of a wide variety of disorders. So thank you very much for following us on this journey as we go through digestive disease in surgery here at Butts N’ Guts. You can always find out more information about Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute by visiting clevelandclinic.org/digestive.
That wraps things up here at Cleveland Clinic. Until next time. Thanks for listening to Butts N’ Guts.
