Surgery Center

Marymount Hospital offers two convenient locations for surgical services including Marymount Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center located on Transportation Blvd. and Marymount Hospital's Department of Surgical Services located inside Marymount Hospital.

Marymount Hospital's Department of Surgical Services

Marymount Hospital’s team of surgeons, nurses and support staff are committed to an exceptional level of excellence. This team provides each patient with the highest quality surgical care in a supportive, healing environment.

Sterile Processing Department

The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) cleans and sterilizes surgical equipment and is located near the operating rooms so the instruments can be transported easily. This space allows a larger volume of instruments to be sterilized. An instrument tracking system assists the processing department so it knows where to find the correct equipment. Real-time communication with the operating rooms also means the processing department can anticipate a surgery team’s needs and prepare and deliver instruments ahead of time.

Specialty Services

Anesthesia

Marymount Hospital’s Department of Anesthesia offers a variety of sophisticated alternatives to general anesthesia. These options provide our patients with the highest quality and safest anesthesia care possible while reducing pain and providing a speedy recovery.

Marymount Hospital also offers an anesthesia record keeping system known as ARKS. This system helps the anesthesia team keep a watchful eye on the patient’s vital signs. If the system detects a concern during surgery, it automatically alerts other anesthesiologists to provide support (through a pager-like system) so the anesthesia provider in the room can focus on patient care knowing assistance activation has been triggered. In addition, the anesthesia record is incorporated into Epic for easy computer access to all providers.

Cosmetic Surgery

Surgeons offer a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery services. Some of the services offered include breast lift augmentation/reduction, forehead lift, face lift, liposuction, abdominal and body contouring.

Digestive Health

Physicians use advanced technology and treatment techniques to care for a variety of digestive conditions. Conditions may include problems of the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, intestines, colon and rectum.

Ear, Nose and Throat

The Department of Otolaryngology, commonly referred to as ear, nose and throat, or ENT, specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of the face, nose, sinuses, ear, neck organs and skull base disorders and conditions. Minimally invasive approaches are commonly used.

General Surgery

Our general surgeons have expertise in the diagnosis and care of patients with diseases and disorders affecting the abdomen, digestive tract, endocrine system and perform non-cosmetic breast surgery from lumpectomy to mastectomy. Our general surgeons also provide care with diseases involving the skin, soft tissues and hernias.

Gynecologic Surgery

Women with gynecological conditions will be cared for by a comprehensive team which is sensitive to the patient's needs.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

Our surgeons are experts in the field of laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. These kinds of procedures are performed through very small incisions, resulting in less pain, reduced scarring and a faster recovery. Marymount Hospital's Department of Surgical Services offers the latest equipment and HD video for surgeries. Whenever possible, surgery is done on an outpatient basis, meaning you can come in and go home on the same day.

Neurosurgery

The neurosurgeons at Marymount Hospital perform complex surgery for disorders of the spine.

Orthopaedic Surgery

The orthopaedic surgeons at Marymount Hospital are trained to address a wide variety of conditions including sports injuries and total joint replacement surgery as well as foot, ankle, hand, wrist, upper and lower extremity disorders. Inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed at Marymount Hospital's Department of Surgical Services.

Podiatric Surgery

Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) offer a wide variety of treatment options for conditions involving the foot. These surgical treatments include excision of cysts and tumors in both soft tissue and bone of the foot, surgical correction of hallux valgus or other forms of bunions. Surgical correction of toenails, toes, soft tissue and bones of the forefoot.

Urology

Physicians at Marymount Hospital use a number of advanced techniques to treat a broad array of urinary tract disorders in men and women, including infertility disorders and prostate problems. Urologists use advanced technologies to treat bladder problems such as urine leakage and overactive bladder, so that patients can quickly return to their normal activities.

Vascular Surgery

Our vascular surgeons have extensive experience in treating all types of vascular problems, ranging from common spider veins to the most complex vein conditions. Marymount Hospital's Department of Surgical Services offers a Hybrid Endovascular Suite which allows our team to perform minimally invasive vascular surgeries.
