Overview
Conference Objectives
- To provide a comprehensive introduction to big data research methods used in digital healthcare technologies aimed at providing service and engagement value to end users.
- To present innovative ways that digital solutions and technologies can incorporate big data and artificial intelligence to move health care forward. Students will examine possibilities by describing and discussing the methods they plan to use in their PhD dissertation project.
- To increase the sphere of international influence of PhD students by enabling them to network with other PhD students and early, mid- and late-career academic and clinical scientists and clinicians.
Participant Preparation / Expectations
Preparation- All students:
- Prepare an Ignite Talk (similar to an “elevator speech” that is 2 minutes in length) that provides a brief overview of YOU and your research plans or your ideas that you are passionate about studying. Please see "What is an Ignite talk."
- A list of relevant literature for the lectures will be accessible 2 months before the start of the PhD course; please review.
Expectations- Non USA students:
Complete a five-page conference paper by July 1, 2023 to meet criteria for a certificate to receive 2 ECTS points (56 hours) from Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland OH
1 ECTS= 28 hours workload for the individual student
- Preparing ignite talk=2 hour
- Writing conference papers=30 hours
- Reading literature=12 hours
- Lectures and workshops=12 hours
A total of 56 hours workload for the PhD students = 2 ECTS.

- Paper focus: research question (what, why important, new knowledge expectations) related to your Ph.D. project
- Post submission paper feedback will be provided by PhD scientist/educator leaders
- Template is provided
Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland OH and TTRN will issue a certificate of participation.
