Today, I wanted to specifically shout out some presentations and featured research from my team in our Section of Laryngology in the Voice Center. Here's a preview if you're able to join us, with a note that all the times I'll be sharing are Eastern.
Kicking things off this Sunday, October 1st, our own Dr. Will Tierney will be a panelist in the session Navigating Difficult Airway Challenges in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Practice. This is taking place at 9:00 AM at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
At 9:30 AM in the Omni Broadway E Room I'll be participating in instructing at the Hands-on Office Laryngology Procedure course. This is sponsored by the American Broncho-Esophagological Association. If you can't make the Sunday session, I'll also be instructing on Monday, October 2nd at 1:45 PM.
And then at 5:00 PM to wrap up the day, I'll be in Room 106BC as a panelist, discussing Making Sense of Paradoxical Vocal Fold Motion, Vocal Cord Dysfunction, and Exercise-Induced Laryngeal Obstruction: A Case-Based Approach if you're attending later in the week.
Our Laryngology group has several presentations on Tuesday, October 3rd. Dr. Michael Benninger is a panelist for the session Actor and Singer as Patients of the Laryngologist, Part 1. You can check that out at 1:00 PM in room 105 AB.
We're also excited to have one of our residents, Dr. Kevin Liang, present on Laser vs Cold Steel for Endoscopic Management of Subglottic Stenosis. This presentation is taking place at 3:45 PM in room 106BC.
And then to wrap up Tuesday, Dr. Tierney, with the support of his medical student colleagues, will be presenting on an interesting topic entitled Resident and Medical School Characteristics Associated With Successful Otolaryngology Match at 4:45 PM in Room 106 A.
Dr. Tierney will then be moderating a session on Wednesday, October 4th at 11:00 AM titled Interprofessional Tracheostomy Care: Resuming and Redefining Best Practice. You can check that out in Ballroom A1.
