Nursing Hiring Event
We are seeking RNs for our Medical, Surgical and Telemetry specialties including Neurology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn and Psychiatry.

Prerequisites for Participation
Akron General Health System accepts students who have an active unencumbered Ohio Registered Nursing License and an affiliation with an Advanced Practice Registered Nursing Graduate Program.
Students must be in good academic standing at their parent school and must have their school’s approval to participate in the desired experience. Additionally, the school must provide proof of a current background check; the student is current on immunizations and has been vaccinated for influenza and/or willing to comply with institutional requirements if not vaccinated.
An APRN program must have an affiliation agreement with Akron General before students can be considered and accepted from that program.
Completion of an Online Application is required. The link to the application is found below. It is against Akron General policy to contact any Advanced Practice Nurses, Physicians or Physician Assistants to make practicum arrangements directly.
You must complete one application for each clinical experience requested. The application must be electronically filled out completely and an appropriate faculty member or school representative sign before the student may be accepted. This also includes Online Learning Modules through Akron General's Human Resources Department. Please also submit a current resume or CV with your application.

Each school calendar is unique; the application deadlines are as follows. If your clinical rotation would be during this time frame, your application must be received by the deadline. EXCEPTIONS WILL NOT BE MADE

Due to limited clinical slots available, Akron General has the right to limit the number of clinical experiences per student. Completion of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Once your rotation has been approved by the Department of Advanced Practice Nursing, you will be sent a electronic letter via email at the using your school email address provided on your application. This letter will have all the details for your rotation such as dates and times of rotation, specifics of your preceptor, Student ID Badge and parking arrangements. Please be sure to read the letter in its entirety. All letters will be sent within five working days of the deadlines listed above.
End of Rotation
At the end of your rotation you must return your student badge to the Department of Advanced Practice Nursing. You will also be sent an email with a survey of your rotation at Akron General.

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Pearls of Practice symposium will feature experts and cover topics including:

- Opioids in the Palliative Setting
- Difficult Patients Diagnosis and Management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- ACS/CAD and Treatments and Interventions
Lunch will be provided.

- Students and retired individuals: $35
Registration costs cover course materials, continental breakfast, lunch and snacks. Payment is due in full by September 14. There will be no refunds after September 21.
Disclosure: Lectures will be emailed to the registrant and the registrant will be responsible for printing if desired. No hard copies of the lectures will be provided.
