Welcome to Cleveland Clinic Akron General. We are dedicated to making your clinical time with us both enjoyable and educational. Please take a moment to read a brief overview of our Advanced Practice Nursing Clinical Rotations entirely.

Please note: We are unable to accept incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline below.

Prerequisites for Participation

Akron General Health System accepts students who have an active unencumbered Ohio Registered Nursing License and an affiliation with an Advanced Practice Registered Nursing Graduate Program.

Students must be in good academic standing at their parent school and must have their school’s approval to participate in the desired experience. Additionally, the school must provide proof of a current background check; the student is current on immunizations and has been vaccinated for influenza and/or willing to comply with institutional requirements if not vaccinated.

An APRN program must have an affiliation agreement with Akron General before students can be considered and accepted from that program.

Completion of an Online Application is required. The link to the application is found below. It is against Akron General policy to contact any Advanced Practice Nurses, Physicians or Physician Assistants to make practicum arrangements directly.
