Rheumatic Lung Disease Program
The Rheumatic Lung Disease Program (RLDP) provides multidisciplinary care for patients from around the world with lung disease from the connective tissue diseases and vasculitides. Although it is a subsection of DPLD, the RLDP offers comprehensive care for all pulmonary manifestations of rheumatologic disorders including interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, airways diseases and pleural disease. Close collaboration with rheumatology ensures that the systemic manifestations of these diseases are also addressed. In addition to providing access to the most advanced therapies and clinical trials, the RLDP also works closely with the Lung Transplant Program so that transplant remains a viable option when these therapies fail. With a major focus on scleroderma, the RLDP is an important component of the Cleveland Clinic’s Scleroderma Center of Excellence.
